Om Kos & Kaos

 KOS & KOAS ÄR ETT INITIATIV SOM STARTADE I OSLO 2016. VI ORGANISERAR SAMMANKOMSTER, KULINARISKA UPPLEVELSER, SPÄNNANDE RESOR OCH SAMLAR FANTASTISKA MÄNNISKOR TILL KOS & KAOS.

Vi har som mål att samla unga vuxna människor (25 -45) med judisk bakgrund eller tillhörighet från hela Skandinavien.

Kos & Kaos är för absolut alla som önskar att bredda sitt nätverk genom upplevelser, mysiga stunder och samtal. Vi har alla spännande historier att dela med oss av och funderar om framtiden både som judar och världsmedborgare. Med fokus på innovation som utmanar konventionellt tänkande, identifieras nya former för kreativitet och stimuleras samtal om en framtid för världen vi drömmer om, samt judiskt liv och identitet.

HIKING IN JOTUNHEIMEN
Besseggen, Sept 2022

Incredible beautiful weekend with around 30 young adults from all the Nordic countries in Norway’s most iconic mountains Jotunheiem. Upon arriving back to the hotel after the hike, a hot tub was waiting for us with some nice Israeli whiskey followed by a conversation with our guests Omer Zerahia Michael Hauser Tov (political chief writer at Haaretz).
We gathered around 45 adults and 20 children for an unforgettable weekend at the Ilsetra Hotel in Hafjell. On Friday we had a cozy wine evening with Nati Aviv who had brought different wines from Israel’s best wine farms. Followed by Saturday evening with a lecture from Jonathan Leman from Expo in Sweden on right-wing extremism.
Jødebord has been a tradition started a few years ago by Alex Levi, Charlotte Kahn, Esther Buckmann and Ted Aspelund. This year we were lucky enough to be able to continue the evening at the incredibly pleasant place Bjørnehuset on St. Hans haugen. We were almost 60 people from the age of 25-45. It was a great atmosphere, delicious food from our chef Øistein and lovely Kosher wine.

A wonderfully pleasant and important Channuka evening with Alma Reisel who came to talk about her work with Keshet UK. A Jewish congregation for LGTB+ in London. Delicious food was served by chef Øisten and the atmosphere was great.
Ski day for children and adults at our chef Øistein’s home. In collaboration with the Israeli embassy in Oslo, we had incredibly exciting guests from Israel’s Arab sector who came to talk about life in Israel. The guests were: Yonathan Elkhoury, Mohammad Kabiya, and Madlene Khashan.
The 16 November, approximately 45 young adults met for a delicious dinner and a very interesting lecture by the Israeli spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yigal Palmor. There was a pleasant atmosphere and good conversations. Thank you very much to everyone who came and hope to see you again soon. Happy Hanukkah
Ski day for children and adults with barbecue and cool program for the children and very exciting lecture / conversation with Mosab Hassan Yousef author of the autobiography “Son of Hamas”, a best seller according to the “New York times and the protagonist in the Sundance Award Winning documentary “The green prince”. Over 100 children and adults were there and it was a great atmosphere.
Two day seminar with lots of good food (by chef Øistein Abrahamsen) and interesting lectures. About 60 people slept over at the Hytta in Bærum from Friday to Saturday. There were exciting lectures from Rabbi Micha Odenheimer (Tevel Bzedeq), Hagai Kimmelman (Gesher), Gerhard Helskog (TV2 Norway), Dan Poraz (Israel’s Embassy in Norway) and Zeev Yanai (Israel’s Foreign Affairs).
