Kos & Kaos hosted a two-day ceramics workshop at the Jewish Museum in Oslo, led by the talented ceramicist Marie Henriksen. The workshop, held on November 16 and 30, 2024, focused on creating seder plates – an iconic element of the Pesach celebration. On the first day, participants learned basic clay-working techniques and were encouraged to experiment with designs and patterns inspired by Jewish art and culture.
The second day was dedicated to decoration, using paints and glazes to give each plate a unique and personal touch. Along the way, Rabbi Michael Paley gave an engaging lecture on the symbolism of the seder plate, the message of liberation, and the importance of passing down traditions. The workshop concluded with a social gathering where participants reflected on their experience and celebrated their creative work in an inclusive community.
